Deleted Artwork

Not everything turns out right the first time.
During the creation of the pixel art illustration, I stumbled upon various problems. Most of them concerned the scaling of objects.

I added the lighthouse after drawing the objects, but then I realized that the size of most of the objects was not right in comparison with the lighthouse.
The keyboard, for example, was too big in relation to the lighthouse, as was the teapot. I had to adjust the scale. Practically, this meant that I had to redraw the objects, since in most cases every single pixel had to be placed carefully for the right look.

If an object has to be scaled down by a factor two, you can consider removing lines horizontally and vertically. I describe this technique in a separate chapter called 'Scaling Pixel Art'.

Try to avoid resizing your pixel-art.

Keyboard

After finishing the keyboard, I realized that its size was not in proportion with its surroundings.
Although I liked the detailed pixel art illustration, I had to draw a smaller keyboard.

duck

As with the keyboard, the size of the bath duck was too big in relation to its surroundings, so I had to resize the duck as well.

Teapot

The teapot - a returning object in some pixel art illustrations - had to be resized as well.
