Work in progress I am currently working on a programme which can translate an arbitrary virtual three-dimensional model used within games, simulations, and so on, into a paper model.
The three-dimensional model is translated into a two-dimensional projection: a flat surface.
Each tab has a unique number attached to it, which makes the corresponding tab quite easy to find.
The folding movement - inwards, outwards - is represented by an arrow for maximum usability.
The pieces are put together in as little space as possible to ensure that a minimum of paper is being wasted.
The translation into a two-dimensional space is almost finished; the process of combining them in as little space as possible is still in progress.
